Damn, but Dumbledore took forever to draw. I spent as much time trying to get his beard right as I did on the rest of the comic.

Speaking of which, Mia, aren't you supposed to be doing the comics? I can only make comics when I’m ill; something to do with a fever or whatnot.

Was in a silly mood, so I made a new comic. I think you can guess the topic.

Job hunting sucks. Job hunting while rolling around on the floor clutching your stomach in pain sucks even more. But there's nothing like job hunting while you're trying to tear off your own skin because you had a bad reaction to the medicine that's supposed to keep you from clutching your stomach in pain.

So, you need to know what’s going on with Samuel L. Jackson’s forthcoming opus magnum Snakes on a Plane? How about a blog dedicated to the movie that I found when referrer mining?

Mia’s having a tough time at work so I uploaded a comic that has been bouncing around in the back of my head for a while now. The question asked is,

Can Samuel L. Jackson and the liberal inclusion of scary snakes save any stinkeroo of a movie? Even that movie?

A new Condensed Comic is up: Batman & Robin.

I’m really getting quite adept at Illustrator; not only am I able to draw with the trackpad, but I’m discovering all these nifty tricks like applying the appearance effect “Outline Stroke” to do trapping around thin lines. I used to have to clone the line, which could be trouble if later I wanted to reshape it.

New condensed comic is up: Boogeyman.

The creature that Mia drew was so great I felt it was deserving of being a new CCCP template. Special added anything-but-MSIE feature: the template will tint whatever background you give it green, for the film vert effect much beloved by modern horror directors.

This is interesting: I finally figured out why LJ was rejecting my RSS feed for Condensed Comics. It turns out that the XML namespace declaration attribute MUST be present in the document element. I had the declaration present in the RSS-specific elements only.

This is the danger of using regular expressions to process XML. You add hidden constraints to otherwise open specifications.

New Condensed Comic is up, as I wait for mia_d to provide me actual comics rather than my lame half-assed attempts at humor.

And I still can’t figure out why LiveJournal can no longer read the feed…
